Overarching Rules​

  • Penalties will be enforced by man-up and man-down

  • Face-offs

    • All players that are facing off must:

      • 1. be in a standing position (no knee down)

      • 2. use a neutral grip (no motorcycle grip)

      • 3. attempt to play the ball at the whistle (not body check)

 

  • Stalling rules will follow NFHS rules with one exception:

    • Stalling rules during the last 2 minutes of game will be administered when games have a 2 goal or less differential.

  • If a team forfeits a game, the score will be 6-0

  • All age groups can substitute on the fly

  • Mercy rule: At any point during the game when there is a six-goal lead, the trailing team will be given the ball at the midfield line in lieu of a faceoff as long as the six goal lead is maintained, unless waived by the coach of the trailing team.

  • USA Lacrosse rules  for 7th grade and younger:

 

  • 7th grade boy's will follow US Lacrosse 14U rules with exceptions listed below

    • There is no over and back rule 

 

  •  6th grade boy's will follow US Lacrosse 14U rules with exceptions listed below

    • There is no over and back rule 

 

  • 4/5th grade boy's will follow US Lacrosse 12U rules with exceptions listed below​

    • No defense shaft length regulation

    • There is no over and back rule

All Age Brackets Game Formats (Pool Play )

  • There will be two 20 minute running halves

  • 2 minute halftime

  • Penalties are not stopped 45(technical) and 90(personal) second penalties

  • Clock will stop in final 2 minutes for injuries and penalty assessments only

  • No timeouts

  • Teams are allowed one 30 second timeout for PLAYOFFS ONLY. No time outs in pool play or consolation games. Time outs do not carry over into overtime.

  • In case of a tie, a 3-minute sudden death period will be played.

  • Overtime will with a faceoff immediately after the end of regulation.

  • If still tied at the end of the three-minute overtime in pool play games, the game will in end in a tie.

  • The last minute of game time will be stop clock if there is a 2 or less goal differential

  • In case of a tie, a 3-minute sudden death period will be played.

  • Overtime will with a faceoff immediately after the end of regulation.

  • If still tied at the end of the three-minute overtime in consolation games, the game will in end in a tie. Playoffs game will be played until a goal is scored.

Bracket Seeding: ties are broken in the following way (Per Tourney Machine):

  1. Record in pool play                      

  2. Head-to-head*                                

  3. Goals against

  4. Goal differential

  5. Coin flip

*In the case of a two way tie head-to-head record will be used, in the case of a three way tie the seeding tie will be broken by goals against- NOT head-to-head
